Which size?

Small, Medium and Large describe the bed, not your dog. Rosewood's Large is a medium dog's bed. Please check the right hand column before you choose, and remember the padded sides take up part of the measurement.

Buying for a puppy?

The column above describes your dog fully grown, not your dog today. Puppies grow into their bed, so buy for the dog they are becoming.

A German Shepherd or Boerboel pup will be very happy in the Large for their first few months, and then outgrow it. That is not a fault, it is just what puppies do. Buy it knowing you will size up later, or hold off and get one bed that lasts. If you tell us your pup's breed and age we will tell you honestly which makes more sense.

One thing to know: full grown large and giant breeds will not fit any size in this range, including the Large. If your German Shepherd, Boerboel, Rottweiler or Caucasian is already an adult, message us and we will point you to something built for them.

Sleeping style matters as much as size. A sprawler needs more room than a curler of the same weight, so if your dog stretches right out, go a size up.
